Jason brings more than a decade of experience in watershed management and ecological restoration across California’s Central Coast. Prior to founding River Reach Environmental, he served as Senior Project Manager at South Coast Habitat Restoration, where he led complex, interdisciplinary watershed restoration and fish passage initiatives totaling more than $15 million in project value. Through this work, he developed expertise in securing and managing diverse funding sources, overseeing engineering and construction teams, and building enduring partnerships with agencies, stakeholders, and private landowners.

In addition to leading River Reach Environmental, Jason serves as a Lecturer in Applied Watershed Management at the University of California, Santa Barbara. He is also a member of the Board of Directors for the California Salmonid Restoration Federation and the Santa Barbara Urban Creeks Collective. Throughout his career, he has contributed to numerous regional and statewide working groups and advisory committees, including the Hollister Ranch Coastal Access Program and Caltrans FishPAC.

Jason holds a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Management and Protection from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo, and a Master of Environmental Science and Management from the Bren School of Environmental Science & Management at the University of California, Santa Barbara.

Outside of work, he enjoys surfing local breaks, exploring the backcountry, and pursuing mountain adventures throughout the region.
